Thot Park

Interpretation Center of Prehistory
The Thot Park offers an approach to cave art in introduction or in addition to the visit of Lascaux. We invite you to discover the human-animal relationship in prehistoric times and to follow in the footsteps of the Cro-Magnon man.
You will find there, the Temporal Mirror, animation of augmented Reality allowing to interact and to observe the behaviors of the animals of the prehistory and the 3D movie "To live in the age of ice" presenting the way of life of our ancestors during the last ice age.

Lascaux II

The first ship to go back in time ... Lascaux II, the first cave of facsimile in the world, a few steps from the original cave opened to the public in 1983. Its realization represents a technical feat and artistic. In 35 years of visits, the cave has displaced more than 10 million people and has helped to make Lascaux known around the world. Since the opening of the International Center of Lascaux, Lascaux II offers a different and more intimate approach. It enjoys the sanctuary of the hill to offer its visitors a peaceful setting in a protected environment.
The Grand Roc Cave

The cliff to go back in time ...!
Discovered by Jean Maury on April 29th, 1924, the cave of the Big Rock was arranged and opened to the visit in 1927. The cave opens halfway up the impressive cliff overhanging the valley of Eyzies de la Vézère. Rock Shelters of Laugerie-Basse

At the foot of the cliff of the Grand Roc, travel back in time to meet our ancestor Cro-Magnon by exploring these prehistoric shelters where have been discovered many objects of art and tools. Thanks to a 3D film and digital tablets, discover why and how men have appropriated this place.

Biron Castle

An exceptional stone giant!
The castle, which is one of the most important in southwestern France, offers a panorama of more than thirty kilometers in the round! The fortress is recognized as an immeasurable architectural emblem that combines a thousand years of construction.
Like an open book, this castle bears witness to the extraordinary talent and fantastic inspiration of the builders of the present day. Today, the castle hosts many festive events: gastronomic markets, art exhibitions, shows and concerts, continuing its rich history that we invite you to live and share in its walls.
Bourdeilles Castle

Two castles from different eras!
Château de Bourdeilles is with Biron, Beynac and Mareuil, one of the four baronies of Périgord.
The first testimonies of Bourdeilles go back to a stronghold, which welcomed in 1183 monks who came to take refuge there with the relics of Saint-Sicaire. For several centuries, cantoned between the crown of France and England, the castle of Bourdeilles will cross many political and religious storms.
Peace came back, Jacquette de Montbron built in the late sixteenth century, the Renaissance castle next to the medieval fortress. Bourdeilles becomes then a pleasure castle testifying of the elegance of a new art of living.
Cadouin Cloisters

Masterpiece of Flamboyant Gothic Art, UNESCO World Heritage Site!
Located in the forest of Bessède, the Cistercian abbey of Cadouin is recognized Site Major of Aquitaine and is classified Historical Monument.
Founded in 1115, the famous Abbey is affiliated to the Cistercian order in 1119. There remains from this time the abbey church and the Roman base of convent buildings.
The cloister offers an amazing architectural and decorative richness, testifying to the splendor of the abbey at the end of the 15th century. Nearly ten centuries of history float here and make Cadouin a universal place, immutable and serene.
